Third Coast Trombone Retreat

June 4-10, 2024

Audition Requirements: FINAL DEADLINE APRIL 1

Age Requirements:

        Participants: Must be age 18 or older as of June 4, 2024 ( no age limit)        

        Auditors: All ages welcome

*High school students are eligible to apply as Participants after fitting within age requirements.

*Auditors do not need to submit an application or audition recording.  Simply register prior to the day(s) you plan to audit by contacting us.  The daily cost for auditors will be $50/day or $40/day for 3 or more days.  

Recorded Audition: See repertoire and recording requirements below. Please try to record selections all in the same room where we can hear you clearly and not too far away from the mic, usually about 6-10 feet is great!

Required solo and TWO of the 3 excerpts below according to your instrument type.  Copies of excerpts can be found on tromboneexcerpts.org and imslp.org:

Recording requirements: Edits cannot be made within tracks. In order to preserve anonymity, please do not speak on tracks, also do not write your name in the filename. Piano accompaniment is optional but not required.  Please no videos. Recording may be submitted via mp3 to our email here.

APPLICATION CHECKLIST:

  • Complete online APPLICATION - Final Deadline April 1, 2024

  • Pay application fee (checkout following application submission)

  • Submit mp3 recording here by the final April 1, 2024 deadline. You can submit your application before your recording!

Applications/recordings received after the April 1 deadline will be accepted but evaluated on a rolling basis according to space available. Notification of admission status will be sent by April 10. After acceptance, a confirmation deposit of $100 will be due April 15 to reserve your place. Students receiving scholarships will be refunded this fee after scholarship is awarded.
